I am the parent of a child who attended the McMartin Preschool.
One of the most high profile criminal cases in US history, the case attracted an enormous amount of media attention.

In 1990, X-FBI chief Ted L. Gunderson contacted me, befriended me and my family and subsequently took part in the media frenzy, falsely presenting himself as a representative of the parents. At no time was Ted L. Gunderson ever hired or retained in any way by me or any other parent. He simply was not officially a part of this case or the archaeological project known as the Archaeological investigation of the McMartin Preschool Site.

While staying at my home in Manhattan Beach, Mr. Gunderson freely used all of my personal credit cards, gasoline cards, opened telephone accounts using my social security number and ran up thousands of dollars on numerous other bills that were in my name. He left me with a debt totaling over $30,000.00. As a single mother raising two children, I was forced to file bankruptcy.

My reputation has been defamed by not only Mr. Gunderson and his accusations, but also by IPT journal, the journal of the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, Debbie Nathan; freelance reporter, and others.

As a result of my financial difficulties and the scurrilous rumors about my character, I was unable to find or hold a job to provide enough income to support myself and my two children. I am now receiving Social Security disability for a condition that is commonly brought on by severe stress. Only now, 10 years after I finally successfully removed Ted L. Gunderson from our home, am I able to address this issue and attempt to set the record straight.
I am now in the process of contacting attorneys in an attempt to file suit and stop Mr. Gunderson from talking about me and misrepresenting himself as someone who had anything official to do with our case.

I have been contacted by countless other victims in the same position I was in who told me that Mr. Gunderson's claim that he "worked the McMartin case" impressed them to the point that they either hired him or invested time and money in him. Mr. Gunderson took a large amount of my files and personal items that he shows to prove he was involved.

During his slander suit against Mr. Gunderson, Art Bell asked me to testify regarding Mr. Gunderson's integrity. The prosecution in the Jeffery R. MacDonald case, austereness in the Mary Scheibe case and the Lillian Madsen case have all asked me to testify about my knowledge of Mr. Gunderson's illegal activities.

Aside from the financial problems that have kept me from addressing vicious rumors about me, I have been unable to publish the Archaeological Investigation of the McMartin Preschool Site which scientifically proves that tunnels existed under the school building foundation. I have provided copies to interested persons on request free or at my cost. To make the report available to everyone, I would have to have it published. I am still not in a position to do that. I don't even know if there is enough interest anymore in the report.
