Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene Impeaching Secretary Mayorkas, Another Pelosi Continuing Resolution, and More

01/24/2024 Update From Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene
The House has finished another week in session and there is a lot to unpack. I wanted to take the time to fill you in on everything that has taken place and break down what has happened on the Hill and in committees this week. I know Washington can be a confusing place, so I’ll try my best to break down the work I’m doing to represent your voice on Capitol Hill. |

In November, I forced the first vote in the House to impeach Mayorkas which sent my articles to the Homeland Security Committee. Since then, our committee has worked hard to present the facts and evidence. And now on January 30th, my colleagues and I will finally hold Mayorkas accountable for his crimes on our southern border. |

The House Oversight Committee recently voted to hold Hunter Biden in contempt. We have mountains of evidence that proves the Biden family has been involved in corruption for years. But as soon as I started speaking to Hunter Biden, he ran from me scared! Clearly, he doesn’t respect strong conservative women. I will not stop exposing the corruption the Biden family has taken part in. Your last name should not preclude you from being held accountable for your actions. Watch the full clip HERE. Watch my response HERE. |

I have worked for months to impeach Secretary Mayorkas. After two of my constituents were murdered by a reckless 17-year-old trafficking illegals, I introduced a privileged resolution that forced members to go on record on the House floor to impeach Mayorkas. After the vote failed, I promised I would keep doing the same thing every week until I got my impeachment. Finally, I was promised by both the Speaker and the Chairman of the Homeland Security committee that we would begin moving forward with the impeachment of Secretary Mayorkas, and move forward we have. We have already started to hold impeachment hearings and will hopefully be holding a vote to impeach on the House floor soon. Secretary Mayorkas has proven time and time again he is unfit to serve in his position and must be impeached for his purposeful neglect to secure our Southern border and for inviting the invasion of America. Watch the hearing HERE. |

This week, the Homeland Security Committee had the opportunity to listen to Mrs. Dunn, the mother of Ashley Marie Dunn, who lost her life to fentanyl poisoning. The drug dealer, who sold Ashley the pills, was allegedly arrested 14 times before Ashley’s death. Our youth are dying at the hands of illegals smuggling drugs through our Southern border and this is blood on Secretary Mayorkas’s hands. How many more lives must we lose for Secretary Mayorkas to take the invasion of drugs and crime at our border seriously? Watch part of Mrs. Dunn’s moving testimony HERE. |

I recently held a hearing on Injuries Caused By COVID-19 Vaccines: Part II, with special guest witnesses Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Ryan Cole, and Dr. Kirk Milhoan. We must talk about the many injuries people have suffered from the experimental COVID-19 vaccines and give a voice to those who have been silenced, whether that be the brave doctors speaking up or patients. The American people demand and deserve answers, and I will not stop fighting for medical transparency. Watch the full hearing HERE. |

As the House approaches a spending deal, I have been vocal on the need to reduce our federal spending and approach it with a responsible plan that will lead future generations into success. I don’t see this happening under the current leadership. I proudly did not vote for the continuing resolution, as I will not support a deal that funds Ukraine, uses American taxpayer dollars to secure other nations’ borders while our own is invaded daily, and does nothing to stop the Biden Administration’s weaponized government. Republicans have the power of the purse right now, and we should be doing our job to pass all of our appropriations bills, not continuing to fund Nancy Pelosi’s budget. I will not stop fighting to make sure my constituents and all Americans are put first! We must stop the endless spending coming from Washington. |
